About myself
I am Rink Springer, 28 years old. I've obtained my Bachelor ICT in 2005 at Fontys Hogescholen in Eindhoven and my Master's Degree in 2008 at the Eindhoven University of Technology. I currently live in a nice appartment in Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands.
My character is quite hard to put into a single category, but the words that most accurately describe me are: honest, open, social and emotionally involved. I enjoy talking to people, about basically any subject, and will not refuse to help those in need. My sense of humor is very dry and often sarcastic, with some witty comments here and there.
As for hobbies, apart from science, I really enjoy music, poetry and cooking. I also like puzzles, playing chess and hanging out with friends.

Master Thesis: Design and verification of the SmartPixel II protocol
This is my master's thesis while studying at Eindhoven University of Technology. It discusses designing a protocol for a network of highly-independant nodes and applying formal validation to such a design by means of process algebra. As the protocol inherently relies on the notion of time, a conversion between timed and untimed process algebras is also discussed. -
Linux 2.6 VFS Locking
This short article details the locking and reference counting internals of the Linux 2.6 Virtual File System. It was written for the Linux Kernel / Hacker's Hut course at the Eindhoven University of Technology. -
Bachelor Thesis: The LIME Realtime Filesystem
This is my graduation thesis while studying for my Bachelor of ICT at Fontys Hogescholen. It details researching and implementing a real time file system in Linux but also includes all technical aspects regarding the implementation in appendix A. -
Second Internship: The Delem HSB Analyzer (Dutch)
The report of my second internship for my bachelor, this report details designing and implementing an analyzer tool for messages on the Delem HSB bus.
